Flight Plan: A puppet skit by Niome Hernandez
(two puppets are having a discussion on our life’s purpose and
destination)
(the puppets enter as if already in a discussion)
P1: I’m so confused all this stuff is so hard to understand!
P2: When you think about it it’s not so hard to understand at all!
P1: Then explain it to me, what does God have planned for me?
P2: Ummmm let me think a minute
P1: (looks at children) This could take awhile I’m sure
P2: All right here it goes our life is like an airplane flight
P1: What, are you crazy, do you mean my purpose is to fly around
(goes around in a circle) this can’t be my purpose I’m getting
dizzy!
P2: No, let me finish just like a airplane flight has a purpose and a
destination. God has a purpose and a destination for our lives.
P1: Ok, I still don’t get it (starts going around again saying) look at
me, I’m lost I’m a lost airplane.
P2: Come on be serious, the Pilot is the one who’s going to make sure
the plane does not get lost. God has given us Pilots, he has placed
people in our lives ,that are not going to let us get lost.
P1: Can I make it on my own without getting lost?
P2: Well, just like the airplane has people to fly it, and to take care of
it. God has sent us people in our lives that are going help us have
a flight plan for our lives.
P1: So what can I do?
P2: You must stay close to God everyday through prayer, bible study
and obeying what the bible says to do.
P1: Now I get it, God has a plan and a purpose for my life. He wants
to show me my purpose and my destination, by me praying and
reading my bible and obeying him.
P2: You forgot one other thing
P1: Oh yea, God has also placed people in my life who going to help
me and see that I don’t get lost.
P2: Now you got it!
P1: Yep, thanks for helping me I’m glad God has sent you as my friend
and my Pilot to help me.
P2: (looking at children) What about you guys, do guys understand
that God has a purpose for you and he has a destination for you!
Think about it and talk about it with your leader.
P1: Bye everyone, will see you later (waves)
P2: Bye
(puppets exit)
The End
This skit is going to be used in our Kid’z club program. The children
are going learn about Missionaries, but first we wanted them to know that God has a plan, a purpose, and destination for them. The children will learn that God’s plan is for them to share the Gospel with those who do not know Jesus.
“God has a flight plan for each of us, his plan tells what purpose he
has for our lives and what we should do to get where he wants us to
be.” (this quote taken from a Young Explorers Lesson)
